Lofoten town hall

This project explores the possibility of a new town hall building in the coastal town Svolvær, in the Lofoten Islands.

From the vestibule you enter into a square hall carried by ionic orders with Fasuke marble and with a cloister vault with fresco showcasing the history of the town by local artist Espolin. The hall has a complex staircase that gently follows the terrain giving a monumental feeling while serving the logistics of the building.

Rendered by hand in watercolor, ink and pencil.
